“Reo was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor. She had two tumor resection surgeries, a shunt placed and later taken completely out, 30 proton radiation treatments and 4 cycles of chemotherapy. Her surgeries and treatment left Reo having to re-learn how to talk, eat and walk. She still goes to about 10 therapy appointments a week to help her. Reo’s wonderful social worker at St. Jude, told us about Reo being eligible for a wish and helped us get the ball rolling. Reo had lots of Wish ideas and this gave her something to look forward to."

"Reo wanted to swim with dolphins in Florida. Reo chose Florida because she also wanted to check out Disney and Universal Studios. Our family prepared by doing countdowns to vacation and talking about must do rides at the parks. Our family was able to visit all 4 Disney and 2 Universal Parks to ride all the top rides at each park. After a busy few days at the parks, we spent the last full day relaxing at Discovery Cove beach. Reo’s wish was granted to swim with the dolphins. She loved her experience and also thoroughly enjoyed snorkeling in the discovery cove’s barrier reef with land sharks, fish, and stingrays. Discovery cove gave Reo a special dolphin stuffed animal, lei and a picture of her swimming with the dolphins. It was truly a wonderful week!"

"Our stay at Give-The-Kids-The-World was fantastic! The food was good and the unlimited ice cream was the very best! The nightly parties were fun and so many fun things to do for all members of the family. Our wish volunteers Karen and Marla spoiled Reo and made our family feel so special! We loved meeting them and staying in the touch. We were treated like royalty at the theme parks and GTKTW. For one solid week, our family spent much needed time away from the hustle and bustle, reconnecting and recovering. Reo also got tons of steps in helping her to walk a little bit better.”
